The project deals with a study of geological transformation of a landscape in the native Hrádok, Slovakia; and of the vicinity the Vižina village, Czech Republic. The clay itself can be grasped as a time record. In its nudity and nature, the clay can be revealed as a temporary sediment. The result of my research is a nearly 3-meter statue inspired by geological wells; made of clays by stamping into a mold. The column is a monument to the already almost mined clay pit in Vižina.
If we take a closer look, the country can talk to us about how old it is, what is on its surface, what has been growing inside, what has been living inside; and how it has been changing. A changing country also changes our future; that is why it is important to understand its past.
